The Bonus Verse; The Final Verse
In such a short time, I have received numerous emails asking what happened to Spirit. I really didn’t want to add this verse, but I also feel that the readers have a right to know.
One day after the true death of Soul, Spirit made a trek up to the mountain that he thought he was all his own. Although it was the dawn of the early morning, the white dress that she wore set off a glow in the horizon that truly revealed her beauty. With tears streaming down her face, Spirit called out to Soul and received no response. Worse than that, she could no longer feel Soul. She realized that he was really gone. As she continue on to the grassy knoll that Soul fell asleep in, she paid no attention to the dew that was soaking the end of her gown. Although she was wearing heels, she reveled in the way the moist grass tickled her toes. The symbols of love unlocked that once dangled around her neck freely were now trapped in a fist along with the bitterness that ended Soul along with a note. Lying softly on the same spot that Soul did, she swallowed the bitterness and cried one last time. Minutes later Spirit drifted into a familiar eternity and the note fell to the ground. In that same instance, flashes of light came to her as the halo fell from her head. It was at that moment that Soul descended upon the mountain and embraced the spirit of Spirit. Looking down at the ground, he picked up the note and began to read her last words. They read, “You wanted my life. Here, now it is all yours. I promised you forever and now we have eternity plus infinity”.
